Novig Peer to Peer Betting Platform Review

Novig is a P2P prediction market platform where you can place peer-to-peer player props, parlays, futures bets, and live trades. It raises the bar for P2P trading with robust metrics and trading functions, and combines this with the event contract trading approach used by prediction markets. A CFTC registered prediction market with a background in P2P trading, this is a unique app worth checking out.

Pros

  • Peer to peer metrics and detailed line movements
  • Parlay building and SGPs
  • Peer to peer futures and live wagers
  • Instant payout for hedged bettors
  • Great range of security measures and functions

Cons

  • Limited social functionalities
  • Live chat/phone support are AI moderated
  • Only sports markets

A peer-to-peer trading platform that covers all America’s favorite sports to bet on, Novig is extremely popular among users who seek value. As a P2P app, you are not staking bets against the house, but instead trading against your fellow bettors – either winning their money or losing to them. You can set the prices on your plays or lay trades against your friends, and there is no juice at all, so you can stretch out your profit margin on winning wagers.

Novig launched its commission-free P2P app back in 2024, and operated using a social sportsbook sweepstakes model – with Novig Coins and Novig Cash. That all changed in the summer of 2026, when Novig became CFTC-regulated, and now it operates as a p2p prediction market-style exchange. Many of the P2P functionalities are still there, so we wouldn’t brand this an outright prediction market site. The Novig Coins and Novig Cash are gone – Novig is a trading platform where you can back or lay predictions against your peers for USD,

Sign Up at Novig

We were highly impressed with the security options when signing up at Novig. It may take a bit longer than registering for other betting apps, but that’s because you can set up biometrics, multi-factor authentication, and then you need to verify your identity with the last 4 digits of your SSN.

Click on Trade Now on the desktop site, or download the app and click on the Novig Sign Up button. You can either sign up through an Apple or Google account, or sign up manually with your email address. Immediately afterwards, you can set up a passkey on your device. This is optional. Next, a password for your gaming account is required, followed by another authentication method. You can pick between a one-time SMS password or set up an Authenticator code on your mobile device. You can also set up fingerprint or facial recognition on your device after that, but this is optional.

Next, you can apply your promo code to get your Novig welcome bonus. If you sign up through our links, this should appear in the dialogue box, but if not, you can copy the OddsPlays Novig promo code here and paste it in:

Novig Promo Code: ODDSPLAYS

Finally, you have to fill out some personal data forms, verifying your name, mailing address, and date of birth. Novig only accepts people who are 21 years old or older. The last step is setting up your preferences – odds format and whether you want to see unseeded markets or not (more on that later). With those done, your account will be created, and you can claim your welcome bonus.

Novig Welcome Bonus

When new players sign up to Novig, they get a $25 welcome offer to kickstart their experience. This is offered in trade credits, which are similar to bonus bets at a US sportsbook, and the only condition for newly signed up players to get the $25 bonus is to make a deposit of $10.

While it is not among the biggest bonus bet offers we have seen out there, we felt the rewards at Novig are designed more for the long-haul. You get a small offer for making a minimal deposit, and from there, you can tap into the excellent Novig loyalty program, built on Novig Points with daily logins and tiered rewards.

Novig Legal States

Novig holds a DCM license with the Commodity Futures and Trading Commission, and therefore operates in nearly all of the US. It is regulated at a federal level instead of a state one, and is live in 45+ states. The only exclusions are Arizona, Nevada and Michigan. So long as you aren’t signing up from these states, or not physically present in one of these states when you make your trades or deposit/withdraw funds, then you can access Novig.com.

Right now, Novig is available and legal in the following states:

Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming.

Key Features of Novig

The main concern bettors have with P2P trading apps is that they tend to have restrictions on markets and parlay building opportunities, because you need to find buyers for your plays, and it is pretty complex for the operators to put together these systems. But not Novig.

One of the trading app’s biggest draws is its SGP and Parlay functionalities. The live trades function is also something that is done very well at Novig, and given its massive market volume and high liquidity, this is a platform where your made orders can get filled – and often do (if you price them right). Other key perks of the platform that we will highlight are the Novig peer futures trades, a comprehensive depth of props bets, and even early payout functions for anyone who hedges their bets on the platform.

Sports Coverage and Market Depth

Novig has sports trades for the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, College sports, Tennis ATP and WTA events, UFC fight nights, PGA Tour golf tournaments and soccer leagues. It does all the basics that the majority of sports fans require, though Novig doesn’t have any niche sports.

The platform makes up for this in its expansive assortment of props. You can trade on partial game derivatives such as halves/quarters/periods, as well as team props, and a great handful of player props. NFL fans can go into markets such as player touchdowns, passing props, receiving and rushing trades. NBA traders can similarly delve into various points markets, rebounds, assists, and combos, among more. There are loads of options, and you can set the prices yourself or buy the market prices.

Another thing to note here. While Novig is legally classified as a prediction market, and offers many of the features and contract-style trading functionalities as a prediction market, it is pretty much a sports-only platform. You can’t make trades on stocks, financial products, culture or entertainment, or political markets.

Bespoke P2P Features

When you check the markets, you can tap any market to view its metrics. Value traders must check these before picking their trades, as it gives you a rough idea of the market sentiment and the direction the lines are moving in. When you open the markets, you can view the following key metrics:

  • Market History: The changes in the line movements and available prices are recorded as percentages
  • Market Volume: The number of Novig Coins/Cash placed on that specific market
  • Completed Orders: If you have staked any trades on this market, you can view them here
  • Order Slip Prices: The various prices for this market, with market volume metrics

Order slip prices is not the official name, but basically this is a figure on your order slip that shows you the market volumes at the various prices that this contract was bought at.

You can lay the trades at the given prices. Or, make your own custom price orders; you are free to experiment with the lines to get what you want. Just remember, you need someone to fill your trade, otherwise, it will remain an unseeded market (and if no one bets against this trade, it will be made void). Another important thing to remember is to check any Completed Orders if you are setting your own prices. If the prices change, you don’t want to be left sleeping with dated prices – because it could open up a great opportunity at your expense.

Novig Fees

One of the most important aspects of any P2P site or prediction market is the fee schedule. There is no juice or house edge here, just trades against your peers, but Novig has to create its own cut. The deposit fees for bank cards and Apple Pay (3%) are not how Novig makes its money – these are to cover the more expensive payment gateways. So, like other prediction markets, Novig has a fee schedule instead.

Maker trades don’t have fees, no matter the market or the trade type. Neither do take orders on any pre-game straight trades. Fees only apply when you are taking a parlay, or you take a straight trade on a live game.

  • No fee: maker fills, take orders on pre-game straight bets
  • Fees: Take trades on live games, take trades on parlays

Makers are the peers who post an order, while Takers are the ones who match this order. The fees can then range depending on the order and the odds price, ranging from around $0.11 per contract up to $0.75.

It is scalable depending on the odds/probabilities, with the biggest fees assigned to the contracts that have a 50% chance of winning. Not everyone likes this approach – there are some apps that have fixed fee schedules that don’t get impact by the odds/probabilities. But, the popular Kalshi prediction market uses scalable fees (also called dynamic fees), as does Polymarket.

P2P Parlay and SGPs

If you add multiple trades to your slip, you can combine these into SGP trades and parlays. It is easy to do, and there are plenty of cross-trading opportunities to be had, so long as your trades don’t interfere with each other. We would point out that not all same-game trades can be combined into SGPs, so if you want to place an SGP, don’t give up if your initial combination doesn’t work. We found that outcome-related trades can be combined with player props, but most can’t be combined with each other, which is a bit frustrating.

However, parlay trading is a lot more flexible, and you can even make multi-sport parlay trades. Having parlays and SGPs at all is a major perk of playing at Novig, and puts it ahead of the other P2P apps. An extra little thing to take note of, if you are parlay building then you can’t make your own custom price orders. This is quite acceptable though, because you can’t make a parlay with unseeded markets, as the majority of these would end up unfilled. You can only make parlays with markets that have liquidity.

P2P Futures & Live Trading

We were highly impressed with the selection of futures offered at Novig. It doesn’t just tick the box and give you NBA Champions or Super Bowl winners; you can also explore trading options relating to the playoffs, divisional winners, conference winners, and a handful of player season awards.

For the true value seeker, these can be extremely exciting options, especially if you are timing your orders for the best prices. You can track the prices, follow the market sentiment, and place your custom price futures trades at the ideal time to catch high value plays.

Live trading is another area that a lot of P2P apps fall short on. Novig offers live trades, and you can actually get orders filled on the most popular markets. For the best live trading experience, we advise looking for high-profile games and picking out wagers that have high market volume. Members tend to pick these and stake live trades, creating liquidity and opportunities for you to lay wagers and catch those live peer-to-peer trades.

Portfolio and Trade Tracking

This is a neat touch that can help you build long-term strategies and manage your money better. Novig Portfolio has several charts and metrics where you can track your spending and see important stats like ROI, matched and unmatched plays, and see how your bankroll has grown or diminished.

Combined with the tracking positions, which you can view for any trading market, you can get a good look behind the scenes and learn how to time and price your trades smarter. These charts and tables are easy to access, and even complete beginners can learn how to make the most of them.

P2P Early Payout and Hedging

This was a truly surprising feature, as P2P apps are based on the liquidity created by your trading orders – not Novig – so Early Payouts should be impossible. But they are not. And that’s not the only surprising part of it. Novig is not one of those platforms that discourages hedged trading and blocks your plays if you are found to be trading on both sides of a market. You are allowed to hedge plays, and the minimum return that you would get (regardless of the outcome) is credited back into your account instantly – through the Novig Early Payout function.

For anyone asking, does Novig have early payout? Yes it does, through cashing out your trades early, and also for hedged bettors through the realized PnL early payout function.

In theory, it won’t guarantee you a profit unless the lines change enough, or there is enough of a discrepancy to create a positive ROI. We will look at two examples, one in which you hedged plays with the given lines, and then an example in which you place an initial trade, and a hedged play later when the lines change (in your favor).

To make it work, you must pick a trading market and place an initial order. It can only work if the lines change and open the possibility to place a hedged play that would make a guaranteed profit – or – if you create a custom order at the favorable price and it gets filled.

Example of Hedging and Instant Payout

So, let’s say you pick an NBA game (Lakers vs Cavaliers). You have $180 to spend, and in the first example, you hedge it at the given price.

In the second example, you are placing the Lakers bet first, and then later make another play on the Cavaliers. We will assume, for the sake of the example, the lines on the Cavaliers will lengthen in your favor.

Example 1
Moneyline PlayStakeTo WinInstant PayoutAdditional PayoutTotal SpentNet Profit
Lakers @ -160$100$162.50$162.50$0$180-$17.50
Cavaliers @ +140$80$192$19.50+$12
Example 2
Moneyline PlayStakeTo WinInstant PayoutAdditional PayoutTotal SpentNet Profit
Lakers @ -160$115$186.87$186.87$0$180+$6.87
Cavaliers @ +200$65$195$8.13+$15

The instant payout comes regardless of whether your ROI is positive or negative – the minimum payout across your hedged bets hits your account instantly. That leaves you playing for that extra on the top. The lines will not always move in your favor, but by following the positions using Novig’s metrics, you can get a good idea of where the consensus are moving.

In the hands of an expert hedged trader, these are highly valuable tools that can see you raking in rewards with timed orders and favorable prices. Plus, with those instant payouts you free up a good portion of your funds for the next orders.

Novig Betting Promos

The majority of the rewards and promotions run through the Novig loyalty Points Program, a 5-tier club that runs on Novig Points. Each tier comes with its own level up rewards, monthly credits, and recurring benefits such as trade credits (bonus bets) and deposit matches.

  • Starter (Up to 299 points)
  • Bronze (300 – 1,799 points): Basic prize monthly, ~$5 trade credits level up and Bronze Share Slip
  • Silver (1,800 – 11,999 points): Boosted prize monthly, ~$10 trade credits level up and Silver Share Slip
  • Gold (12,000 – 59,999 points): Premium prize monthly, ~$20 trade credits level up and Gold Share Slip
  • Obsidian (60,000 – 11,999 points): Boosted prize monthly, ~$50 trade credits level up and Obsidian Share Slip

Basically, you are playing for the monthly prizes, which are distributed from a massive pool, and themed Share Slips. You collect points by participating in daily drops (3x per day), monthly challenges, and by making orders or building parlay orders. These points are non-exchangeable for cash.

Then, Novig has recurring challenges and bonuses that are cyclical and relate directly to your next trades, such as:

  • Dingers Only
  • Early Bird
  • Look Alive
  • Parlay Insurance
  • Quick Basket
  • Range Finder
  • Top Bins
  • Heat Check

These all offer extra Novig Points. As for bonuses outside the Novig Points Program, you get the occasional recurring match deposit and trade credits, but the majority of the promotional incentive is in the loyalty program (and thus, the monthly drops).

Purchases and Redemptions

Novig supports cards, Apple Pay, Aeropay and also stablecoin deposits (USDC and USDT) through Coinflow. The minimum deposit is $5 for Aeopay, but for that first welcome bonus it is extended to $10. Also, it is important to note that some payment methods are subject to fees. Card and Apple Pay payments carry a 3% fee, whereas bank transfers through Stripe and Aeropay, as well as Coinflow-processed stablecoin deposits are not charged.

Withdrawals are processed in up to 48 hours, and are offered via bank transfers, debit cards or Venmo. You will need to complete the KYC to be eligible for withdrawals, there is no deposit rollover requirement, and Novig doesn’t have a minimum withdrawal limit.

Responsible Gambling

The social betting platform delivers a handful of responsible gaming tools so you can control your spending. These include limits, time-outs, and self-exclusion. Open the Gameplay Limits in your account, and you can set purchase limits, time-outs, and cash order limits on your account.

Customer Support

Support is handled via live chat, a phone desk, and email, and it runs 24/7. Novig also has a large Help Center where you can find loads of information, going beyond generic registration or payment queries to information regarding bonuses and peer-to-peer functionalities.

For such a prominent P2P platform, the support communication channels fell a bit short of our expectations. Finding the live chat dialogue box was a bit tricky, it is under your Account Settings, and then head down to Contact Us under Support. This prompts open a window from which you can head to the Help Center, or click on Messages and write a direct query to the support team.

The live chat is moderated by AI bots, and we couldn’t always reach through to live support agents. Some users also cited the same issues, with redemption queries or verification requests going unanswered for multiple days at a time. The phone support connects you to a generic voice-recorded operator, which is not the kind of service an app of Novig’s magnitude should give users.

Another option is to join the Novig Discord group, where you can ask questions to your peers or to the moderators, which we felt was a bit more secure and prompts better responses. This, we feel, is the best place to get proper support and attention from Novig.

Related Apps

Novig stands out as one of the premium P2P sports betting apps on the market. Other competitors in the space include Bettor Edge and Epick Fantasy Sports. Bettor Edge being a P2P trading app with an in-built betting tool and lengthy value in peer trades. And Epick creating a crossover with DFS style betting, with lineups that you can back or even fade – much like backing or laying peer to peer parlay trades on Novig.

Both have exceptional features, but if you are looking for a site with more prediction market-style features, you can definitely compare Novig to our Kalshi and Polymarket reviews. But to give you more options, we would also highlight key players like the social sportsbook turned prediction market, ProphetX. And also, the sports-focused, and newer prediction market, OG.com.

Novig Mobile Apps and Security

The P2P betting interface is designed for mobile trading, and you can sign up, place trades, and manage purchases/redemptions through the bespoke Novig mobile apps. These are available at the iOS App Store and Google Play Store. We will note here that the iOS app is highly functional, and it also comes highly rated in the App Store. The Android app is not as well received, with users citing technical issues and new version updates that are buggy.

While we didn’t come across such issues ourselves, it is worth taking note that for Android users, the desktop site is there – you should switch to this if the app has any buggy patch updates.

We also wanted to mention security here, as Novig has gone to extreme lengths to make sure your details are protected and you have the tools to make your account impenetrable. On sign-up, it gives you options to set up passkeys on your device, an authenticator, and optional biometric facial/fingerprint recognition.

Our Verdict

There is not much more we would like to see from a peer-to-peer platform; Novig doesn’t just provide an expansive selection of markets, it has also fused in live betting, parlays/SGPs, futures, and supports hedged trades with instant payout features. Through bespoke peer to peer trading functionalities, the advanced metrics and tracking features, Novig.com is geared for expert trading.

The only areas we feel the service could improve are in the support, more promotions outside the loyalty program, and maybe some more social functionalities. There are alternative P2P apps that provide loads more social features, from trading groups and challenging friends to social contests and leaderboards. As for rewards, we do know this is a big ask – the real value at most P2P and prediction market sites is the dynamic pricing itself, not bonus bets or boosts (which are more typical at sportsbooks).

If you just want to place high-value P2P plays, hedging your trades, or tracking positions to get the best prices, Novig is a top choice.
