Excellent P2P Functionality
How it works is you are basically buying plays at either an odds price set by your peers (you are buying at the reciprocal odds), or you can set a market order yourself (set your own price). When you buy a bet, you are adding liquidity to that specific market. Your peer, who buys the opposing bet, is playing to win your liquidity and can only stake as much on that line as your liquidity allows. If someone pays more money on a line than the liquidity allows, this part of their bet is Unmatched, and will sit in pending until someone buys the opposing line.

Market overround basically gives you an idea of the discrepancy between the prices on either side of a line. We have seen values ranging from 101% – 103%, which is a lot smaller than the typical juice sportsbooks apply to their odds (5% to 10%). Then, with the graphs, you can check the changes of the market price in time, observing fluctuating public sentiment and market order prices.

Our Verdict
ProphetX is a pretty interesting platform because it has strong pros, but a handful of unavoidable cons that could make or break the experience. The platform has excellent trading functions, parlays, and live plays that are all designed to bring you excellent value for money. Plus, it is one of the few apps that actually doesn’t care if you hedge your bets or not – in fact, you get early payouts for overlapping returns on hedged bets at ProphetX.
But the platform has a few hiccups too. While it doesn’t brand itself as a social sportsbook, it uses the same dual currency framework, without offering daily logins or other bonuses that allow you to play with the fun currency without making purchases. Basically, it is not a social sportsbook, because you will need to make purchases to get credits to play. Bonuses are not a done thing at ProphetX, and the fact that you cannot withdraw via bank cards, using Trustly or AeroPay (neither of which are very commonly used in the US) is also a flaw.
That being said, we do have to point out that ProphetX is one of the most popular P2P apps in the US, and this lends to excellent market volume.
