ProphetX is a sports-oriented prediction market in the US, with coverage of all the major US sports and popular sports like tennis, UFC, and a limited scope of soccer markets. This exchange does not offer your average sports betting-style experience, instead, it revolves around staking plays against your peers, and ProphetX uses a dual currency sweepstakes model.
Available in all 50 states, barring any state statutes or restrictions on prediction markets, ProphetX has an all encompassing reach across the US. This includes states where US sportsbooks are not legalized. The popularity of the platform only lends to greater market volume and more predictive options for users. Offering live trades and even parlay-building trade slips, both of which are a rarity at exchanges, ProphetX has plenty to offer US sports fans.
How ProphetX Works
ProphetX used to be a social sportsbook before it received approval from the CFTC to launch a prediction market. As such, the peer to peer social sportsbook closed down in June 2026, and ProphetX relaunched as a fully fledged prediction market.
It works in the following way. You sign up, make a deposit, and then use your funds to purchase event contracts on different sporting events. The prices (betting odds), are determined by market demand, so these are subject to continuously fluctuate as your peers buy and sell those contracts. The odds are shown in percentages, and you buy contracts at the given price, or, you can set your own market orders. Then, you can either hold onto these until the markets settle, or sell them back before the settlement.
As with other prediction markets, ProphetX takes commission on your trades, but the terms are a lot clearer than the competition. Simply, you are charged 2% on net gains for straight trades, and parlay trades have a 0% trading fee.

ProphetX Welcome Bonus
New traders are offered a welcome bonus at ProphetX, trade $10 and get $20. This is a one-time offer for newcomers only. Sign up to ProphetX, accept the terms and conditions, and then complete account verification (this is mandated by federal regulations on prediction markets). This procedure includes email, phone and ID verification. After you have finished and your account is approved, you have 30 days to claim your bonus.
- ProphetX Welcome Bonus: Trade $10 Get $20
Make a deposit of $10, and then place it on your first trade. After which, you will get $20 in “incentive funds”. This is basically a fund that you can use to stake your next trade. Any trade made with this $20 incentive fund cannot be cashed out early; it must settle, after which you will receive any returns it makes.
While not the biggest promotion out there, ProphetX keeps its welcome bonus accessible for lower budget players; you only need to open a trade of $10+ to unlock your bonus.

ProphetX Existing Player Bonuses
Promotions are not a major strength at ProphetX. The value is really offered in the quality and quantity of the markets, with large volume and liquidity to ensure you get good, widespread coverage. ProphetX offers refer a friend bonuses, but not much else.
ProphetX Legal States
ProphetX is available all across the US, it is regulated at a federal level by the CFTC and bypasses state regulations. So long as you are 18+ or the legal age of majority in your state, you can sign up to ProphetX. It is important to note, though, that there may be some markets or products that have limited state availability.
Features of ProphetX
ProphetX is not one of those platforms that you go to for bonuses; the inherent value lies in the EV of the markets themselves. The app covers all the most popular sports in the US, albeit the soccer markets are a little on the limited side.
- Football
- Basketball
- Baseball
- Hockey
- UFC
- Tennis
- Soccer (limited markets)
- Golf (TGL and limited PGA)
- NASCAR
- Specials
It has standard game markets, props, partial game derivatives, and player props for major events. These are areas where a lot of prediction exchanges struggle. They either don’t have enough market depth or they don’t have the market volume to accommodate all the different markets. ProphetX doesn’t have these issues.
ProphetX also utilizes a unique peer to peer trading mechanism for event contracts. You can set your own market order prices, or buy the prices based on market orders. This market pricing is more flexible than at other prediction markets, squeezing out slightly better value on your next trades.

Market Orders and Prices
For every market, such as a moneyline, spread, and so on, you get the market demanded prices. Now the main thing you will note is that ProphetX doesn’t offer classic prediction market Yes/No contracts. Instead it is set up like a sportsbook, with contracts for Team A moneyline, Team B moneyline, and not: Team A moneyline Yes/No. This perhaps simplifies the experience for anyone coming from a conventional sports betting background, and who doesn’t have prediction market knowhow.
The prices listed are the market driven prices, and for highly demanded markets, you may get a handful of prices. For instance, a moneyline trade on team A to win may have market prices of +174, +178 and +182. Underneath each, you can see the liquidity on these orders, so you can buy trades up until that amount, and it will be filled. Go over the liquidity, and that part of your order will remain unfulfilled until a peer buys the opposing contract. You can also set a custom order, at the price you want, on your trade slip.
But if there is no liquidity (no one bets against this price), then your order will remain unfilled until someone does. If no one does, then your order will be canceled.
Order Types
When you buy a trade at the market price, this is called a Market Order. It is simple to execute, and fills immediately given enough liquidity, so it is immune to slippage – which happens when price movement is volatile and very quick. The other type of order that you can place at ProphetX is a Limit Order.
This is when you place a trade at a specific price. If there is no liquidity, then your order will remain resting until someone lays it. This is good for value bettors, but it is a riskier strategy as there is a chance that your order never gets filled. Or, the markets move, and the new prices become more favorable than your limit order.

User-Friendly Interface
The interface alone deserves credit, for it simplifies what is otherwise a pretty complex sports predicting method into an easy-to-follow structure. ProphetX displays all the information you need to make better trades, including:
- Market-driven prices: Recent market prices and the liquidity for each
- Traded liquidity: Overall liquidity for a trade market, such as a moneyline or a spread
- Last match: For each line, the last traded price
- Market overround: Added implied probability percentage, the closer to 100% the more fair and liquid the market is
- Graph: Offered for some market, this shows a graph of the recent price movements over time
On your trade slip, you can also view the market liquidity, and there are some helpful features to maximize this. The Apply Maximum Amount automatically fills your trade with the full liquidity on the market. Whatever money is riding against the bet you are picking, you are staking your trade to win it all. Then, there is an Auto-Cancel button, which you can tick to limit your stake to the maximum that fills the Market Order. Any portion of your trade that exceeds this limit will remain a resting order.
Live Trades and Parlays
ProphetX accommodates live trading, albeit this is a higher-risk strategy for any bettors. You can buy and sell trades on a game during play, but be warned that the market prices are highly volatile. Placing any limit order, or having ongoing resting trades carry much higher risk, as the prices can swing out of your favor and you may end buying a trade at unfavorable rates.
Perhaps the most attractive feature of ProphetX are the parlay-style trades. You can assemble parlays on the trade slip, compounding the odds of each of your trade for massive potential returns. Parlays are not subject to any charges, and ProphetX allows all kinds of multi-game, multi-sport and same game parlays. But with some conditions.
There are eligibility requirements, so you cannot have overlapping trades. If you place an SGP and one of the legs ends in a push, the entire parlay is pushed. If you place a parlay across multiple non-related events, then a push will only result in that part of the parlay being removed and the odds recalculated for the rest of the parlay.

Mobile Compatibility
ProphetX has mobile apps for iOS and Android devices, and they are highly rated by users, with 4.8 and 4.4 stars, respectively. The platform has a mobile-first design, with a non-cluttered interface and easy navigation tools for you to get around with. You can open trading orders, compare line movements in the graphs, and assess your trade slip, all from the comfort of your phone.
ProphetX Banking
The minimum you can spend to deposit at ProphetX is $10, or its equivalent in cryptocurrency. The bank wire is intended for larger deposits, and the minimum deposit amount is $1,000.
| Deposit Methods | Processing Time | Fee |
| Aeropay | Instant | Free |
| Bank wire transfer | Instant | Up to 72 hrs |
| Crypto via Zerohash | Instant | Free |
| Withdrawal Methods | Processing Time | Fee |
| Aeropay | Up to 5 days | Free |
| Bank wire transfer | Up to 5 days | Free |
| Paper Check | 7-14 days | Free |
Withdrawals can take up to 5 days, including a 24-hour internal processing time. Your maximum limits for withdrawals depend on the state you reside in. Withdrawals are slower than at other prediction sites, and there aren’t many options offered at ProphetX. This is one of the weaker aspects of the site.
Responsible Gaming
ProphetX has responsible gaming safeguards to ensure you maintain control over your spending and playing. You can track your spending, close your account, self-limit and request a self-exclusion from ProphetX. These are handy tools that the platform encourages you to use, especially the self-limiting, which is also useful for maintaining a strict bankroll for your plays.
ProphetX has US customer support too, offered via phone support, a live chat, email support, and a ticket form.
Who ProphetX Is For
Ultimately, we feel this sports prediction app is designed for sports bettors who want to get an edge or look for more valuable lines. It has excellent trading features, which can be used for EV betting, chasing steam, and is especially good for hedging your bets. ProphetX has no rules against arbitrage betting; it doesn’t even limit players for betting in larger amounts.
Peer-to-peer and hedged betting are quite advanced systems, but ProphetX supplies the tools to make these accessible even for beginners, which we felt is one of its key strengths. Parlay building and live plays are a very welcome addition, but we felt the true strength of ProphetX pulls more towards the crisp betting line value and hedged betting.

Related Reviews
Anyone who is considering ProphetX is most likely looking for better lines and higher value for their sports bets, and the good news is that ProphetX is not alone in that regard. The best like-for-like alternative is Novig, a P2P app that has similarly good coverage, P2P parlays and SGPs, live trades, and a much better depth of player props. If you want to look for more prediction market platforms, then we would definitely recommend the sports-focused Kalshi, and the crypto-native Polymarket.
A newer platform, that is breaking a lot of ground in the US right now, is OG.com. This exchange is fully regulated, offers a handful of real world events, but the main focus is on sports trades.
Our Verdict
ProphetX is a pretty interesting platform because it has strong pros, but a handful of unavoidable cons that could make or break the experience. The platform has excellent trading functions, parlays, and live trades that are all designed to bring you excellent value for money. Plus, it is one of the few apps that actually doesn’t care if you hedge your bets or not.
But the platform has a few hiccups too. While it has good value lines, minimal trading fees, and offers customer the flexibility to make their own orders, the site doesn’t do much by way of bonuses. This is an area that is very lacking. As is the soccer coverage, which is kept to a minimum, and ProphetX could have a few more payment methods for convenience’s sake.
That being said, we do have to point out that ProphetX is one of the most popular P2P apps in the US, and this lends to excellent market volume. Which means, there is a better chance of any custom orders or personally set price orders getting matched, which is exactly what you need at a P2P app. This is definitely a strong contender for one of the best US P2P betting apps, if you can look past the flaws.
