With over 1,000 testimonials, we have to admit that SproBets is not one of the mainstream betting tools out there. Even in its home country of Canada, this is not the most well known betting tool, but it has a comprehensive toolkit that can identify high value arbitrage bets much like the best US arbitrage tools.
The platform is simple, yet effective. Spro sources odds from 20+ sportsbooks, including both Canadian betting sites and the main US sportsbooks, with keen line comparisons to help you spot good outliers and compare market prices. In this review, we will put its features to the test, and show you how to use SproBets, while rating the different functions.

Key Features of SproBets
The main pull of Spro is its arbitrage bets, this is a platform that focuses primarily on scanning betting odds and looking for discrepancies. It has both pregame and live arbitrage bets, with filters so you can look for key games, sports, or even by betting markets. The platform has a very simplistic interface, which feels concise and straight to the point. The sports coverage includes the major US sports leagues, college sports, and a huge range of soccer competitions. Funnily enough, the coverage is perhaps more inclined towards American betting preferences – we didn’t find the popular Canadian Football League included.

But when you check the books, you find books like Bet99, Sports Interaction, PlayFallsView, PointsBet CA, and NorthStar – which are all well known Canadian betting sites. Though you also get DraftKings, BetMGM, BetRivers, and FanDuel, among others top US sportsbooks.
Arbitrage and Live Arbs
SproBets has a thorough outlook on arbitrage bets, picking out high ROI wagers in the sports covered, and it scans different betting markets. You can get arbitrage bets on spreads, point totals, props bets, and even the occasional player props, which diversifies the betting strategy. The live arbitrage bets is still currently a Beta function, but it has worthy options and can even clear higher ROI hedge betting pairings. You have a bet calculator on the side, where you can enter a stake and the opposing stake and resulting payouts are automatically calculated. It is quite basic, but very fast.
While you don’t have automatic bet slip integration, you do get links out to the sportsbooks, so you can head there and manually find the bets, enter your calculated stakes, and confirm. This is something that can definitely be optimized. Plus, we didn’t really like how the odds screen only updates when you reload the page, there is a latency here, and no automatic refreshes, which makes it virtually impossible to continuously monitor the arbs.
Low Hold Bets
Low holds are hedged bets with close to 0% or exactly 0% returns, and the goal is to hedge bigger sums of money so you can propel yourself to VIP status. Just like the arbitrage bets screen, this page does not refresh by itself, but you do get main markets, alternative spreads, and even occasional player props with low holds. The in-built calculator is the same, and you have the same stretch of sports categories, with filters to narrow the search.
Promo Finder
A promising idea, SproBets can trace sportsbook offers and pick out running contests, giveaways, or generic betting offers. Like other tools that offer these, most of the bonus bets here are only given to newcomers, but to give SproBets some credit, it also picks out the giveaways and ongoing profit boosts or contests. This is a pretty good feature, and Spro does not discriminate casino gaming offers – you can find some of these and explore them to see if the bonus spins or gaming rewards can boost your balance.
Just be wary, that while in Ontario, casino gaming and sports betting are legal, in the US, casinos are still only legal in a handful of states. Be sure to also skip the offers that are Canada-specific.
Odds Screen
The odds screen compares market prices at all the books that Spro covers. You have simple filters to look for sports, specific betting markets, and narrow the options to the games you want to bet on. Spro aggregates the betting odds, and presents the Best Prices and Average prices, so you can gauge the betting value at different sportsbooks.
But if we were being critical, we would argue this is a very basic set of features. Even if it only tracks odds at 20+ books, Spro could still use those data points to devig the odds, calculate fair prices, and even give probability estimates and EV+ ratings. These are not provided, and with it, Spro’s offering doesn’t wow in this department.
Spro Subscriptions and Value for Money
Spro is a lot more affordable than other arbitrage and low hold tools, which makes it a viable choice for bettors on a budget. There is a basic free version, which has arbs limited at 1%, low holds at 0%, limited sportsbook promos and a 2-game restricted odds screen. This gives you a taste of how the software runs, and what it looks like. If you want to unlock the higher arbs, low holds and full range of features, you can pay for the Standard subscription.
Spro Standard
C$ 20 per month
There is no annual package or discounted premium, but for just 20 Canadian Dollars a month, this is a very competitive price. In terms of value for money, Spro does make the cut. The arbs are good and the interface does have efficient calculators for doing quick stake checks, which we really like. We also felt the presentation of the odds and arbitrage bets are made easy, and the promo finder is quite effective (filtering out the Canadian offers).
Why Spro Stands Out
The price is the first thing that comes to mind. The betting tool covers player bets, standard markets, and alternative lines, providing arbitrage, low holds and odds comparisons. The Discord channel is also a good added feature for reaching out to the support team and getting advice for your betting strategy. There are definitely things that can be improved with the tool, but it has a good value for money. Plus, it is rare to find a betting tool that caters primarily to Canadians – but also has functions that can be utilized by US bettors too.
Areas To Improve
We did mention areas where the service fell a bit short in the different features. But to wrap up, we feel the following are the most important aspects for anyone considering SproBets to be wary of:
- Odds do not automatically refresh
- Doesn’t have automatic betslip integration
- Odds screen doesn’t include EV+, juice, sharp odds, or aggregated winning probabilities
- No custom alert setups
At the very least, the odds should be made to manually refresh, as you lose opportunities with old prices and miss out on any potential new ones. Having EV+ or sharp odds displayed in the odds screen would be a massive help, but if you are primarily focused on arbitrage bets, it is not something that is sorely missed. But having alert setups would definitely improve the service, and win SproBets more customers.
Is Spro Legit?
Yes, SproBets is a completely legitimate betting tool, its parent company is based in Toronto and it has been running since 2024. While it doesn’t have betting apps, the tool has a mobile friendly site, and can be accessed by virtually any device. You don’t need to submit any information when signing up apart from an email address and your name. And the payments are managed via Stripe.
With 1,000+ testimonials, this app is in use, and it has social media presences on X, TikTok, Insta and YouTube, as well as a private Discord channel for customer support.
Who SproBets is For
For this price, we could find an immediate competitor: SureBet, that also specializes in arbitrage bets, but on a budget. They have more arbs, but the interface is not as well designed as SproBets, and you don’t get odds screens or promo finders, just a massive list of arbs. Spro edges SureBet with its additional features, and the interface is better structured for arbitrage betting – the calculators are less complicated and the presentation is more easily digestible. The tradeoff is that SureBet has better sportsbook coverage and far more sports.
Another tool that you can compare is Pick The Odds. This tool is more similar to SproBets in terms of presentation, with arbitrage bets and low hold, but it also does middles and EV+. There is an extremely limited free version, and the Starter package costs $40 per month – which is a bit over double what you would pay at Spro. However, Pick The Odds has faster refresh rates, it covers more sports, has automatic refreshes (15 seconds latency with free version), and you can set up alerts. Again, whether or not paying double is worth it is something only you can decide. But the free version can give you an idea of how PTO fares against SproBets.
So it is not true to say that Spro does not have immediate competitors at the price level. It does, and between SureBet and Pick The Odds, there are alternatives to SproBets. But what stands out about this software is its clean design and speedy in-built calculators. It is perfect for beginners to arbitrage bets, casual bettors, or people who want to try arbitrage bets but not spend $100 or more exploring the strategy.
Our Verdict
If you want to find arbitrage bets, Sprobets is a viable option that does not really muddy the options and gives you the practical insights you are after. It doesn’t go above and beyond in its analysis, and the manual refreshing is perhaps the area that you have to be most concerned about. If they could tweak that, and then possibly add options to set custom alerts, then the service would definitely improve.
But as it stands, we felt that if you know these caveats and can work your way around them, you can definitely benefit from the insights provided at Spro. Just be prepared to be a little more hands on – calculating stakes, manually adding bets, and refreshing the odds screen often to get your bets.
