FootyMetrics offers a direct value betting software for UK football punters, converting endless match, player and team data into probabilities to fuel your next picks. This is very much a statistics driven approach, where the software evaluates form, trending metrics, and brings you comparison charts to give you more context.

The strategy is sound and there are many perks to having such a betting tool, especially in the depth to which Footy Metrics delves into football stats. This is no standard set of footie analytics. Footy Metrics covers virtually every market you will possibly need, including goal involvements, cards, BTTS, and variants for half time/full time, and over/under alternate betting lines.

Main Features of FootyMetrics

The main area of focus at FootyMetrics is bringing you statistics, and converting these into relevant percentages, figures, stats and charts so you can get an edge on your football bets. Just to be clear, the betting tool does have a basic line comparison function, where it either takes the averages or presents you with the best odds (depending on what is being shown), from top bookmakers like bet365, the Kambi network (think BetMGM, LeoVegas, and many more) and Paddy Power, among others.

Though FootyMetrics doesn’t go into detail with these lines lines and calculate the resulting EV+ of the wagers. The approach is not driven by market odds, but by football statistics – and your own betting hunches. This means you aren’t relying on the bookmakers’ generated odds for your probabilities, but getting the information directly from the source material. And FootyMetrics spares on no detail there.

An Excess of Leagues and Stats Covered

FootyMetrics has an unrivalled database of stats, spanning over 115 global football leagues, and extending to virtually every main market, alternate line, and prop. They don’t just stick to team performances, but also individual players, head to head data, and even referee stats to give you a more rounded view of how a match may unfold.

In the Statistics portal, FootyMetrics presents you with the following categories:

  • Over X goals
  • BTTS
  • Goals Scored
  • Goals Conceded
  • Match Results
  • Corner Stats
  • Card Stats
  • Shots on Target
  • First Half Goals
  • Second Half Goals

Click on any and you get all the metrics, including alternate lines and a table with the highest rated fixtures for those markets.

Daily Fixtures and Hot Trends

Under Fixtures, FootyMetrics highlights it’s Key Hot Trends, where you can explore the betting picks with the highest confidence score. These are ranked from 0 to 100, based on the betting software’s proprietary algorithm. This doesn’t just take the recent form into account but also head to head, opponent defensive records, and the comfort aspect of how comfortably a player or team hits a stat. Because of this, two identical stats can have drastically different confidence scores.

You aren’t just fed betting picks here, but you get all the context to back up the findings. Scrolling further, there are Daily Fixtures where you can check out upcoming fixtures and compare the odds on main markets, BTTS, double chance, first to score, and more. Click on any fixture and FootyMetrics brings up predicted lineups, hit rates, h2h stats, and more. There are Tactical Lineup tables where you can explore the odds and recent form data for any player in the predicted lineup across virtually every betting market.

Props Finder

The Props Finder is designed to find the highest rated betting picks. You enter details about the market you want to explore under Search Criteria, and then move on to filter the dates and leagues scanned in Match Context. Then, you can apply Player Filters to narrow the search by lineup status, positions, home/away, league only, and more. Finally, there is a filter for the Odds & Markets, where you can filter the minimum odds, the odds line, and which bookmakers you want.

The result is an instantly generated list of top player picks, where you can look for virtually any market from Offsides to Successful Dribbles. This is really an ideal service if you are looking for very niche player bets, and instead of going about it match by match or player by player, you enter the types of bet you want and their resulting odds, and you get all the confident tips. Naturally, from this point you can open any for more statistical context.

Injuries and Suspensions Visible

You can now view injuries and suspensions directly in the fixture lineup view and individual player pages on FootyMetrics. This is a really helpful addition, as you don’t need to spend time searching for the latest player availability news for each team; it is all there for you. The injuries are listed under each team, along with a short line about what the injury is.

FootyMetrics has also promised that injuries are just the beginning, and full player context will be arriving soon. The more data you have on players before a fixture, the better. It means you have even more information before making a decision.

FootyMetrics Injuries & Suspensions Feature

Fixture Scout

Just like the Props Finder, the Fixture Scout looks for fixtures with bets that meet your preferences. This is also a pretty thorough tool, as you can fitler the Fixture Date, Odds Filter, and then add your own Conditions for the picks. The Conditions narrow down the search based on home/away, the statistic (goals, corners, cards, fouls, set pieces, other – and down to specific betting markets). You can also add conditions for the period, direction of the line (over or under, and which lins), and set conditions for the trends (at least 8 in the last 10, for example).

If this sounds complex, don’t worry, you can start by picking out a preset, like the following:

  • Home to Win or Draw: Home undefeated in 4 of 5/Away failed to win 4 of 5
  • Over 2.5 & BTTS: Both teams over 2.5 goals in 4 of 5/BTTS yes in 4 of 5 for both teams
  • Corner Dominance: Either team most corners in 7 of 10/Either team over 5.5 corners for 7 in 10
  • Attacking vs Leaky: Either team scores 2+ goals in 7 of 10/Other team conceded 2+ goals in 7 of 10

You can tweak these, experiment with your own, and click Find Fixtures at the end to get the very specific betting pick recommendations.

Pricing and Value for Money

FootyMetrics has a limited free version where you can pick up basic data and use some of the features, and a paid subscription. The Premium is quite affordable and unlocks everything FootyMetrics has to offer. If you sign up through our links, you can get a 5 day free trial to the Premium subscription.

FootyMetrics (no subscription)

You can view props and trends, but you are limited to: 3 Props Finder searches and 2 Fixture Scout searches per day. The free subscription does not include broader odds comparisons, but averages and some best odds displays.

FootyMetrics Premium

€14.99 monthly

Pay for the Premium and you get unlimited trends, player props finder, fixture scout, 115+ leagues, and the inclusion of the bookmaker odds. It won’t break the bank, but the bigger question is whether or not FootyMetrics justifies the price. After all, it only covers 1 sport, doesn’t really go into detail with the odds comparisons, and much of the data you can probably pool together through footie stats apps.

But we would argue that FootyMetrics does live up to the price tag, and it can be a game changer for a very specific punter profile.

Why FootyMetrics Stands Out

Because FootyMetrics doesn’t just run through the standard stats you would get with a free app. It goes to greater lengths to bring in stats on referees and statistics that directly relate to props. For example, you don’t get data on “corners” but data specifically on “over 7.5 corners”, and you can search this across multiple fixtures in the blink of an eye.

Our experts found it to be extremely relevant, and a far more efficient way to research bets than looking for the stats yourself or draw tables to compare the data. You get everything neatly organized and easy to digest.

An area that we cited as a shortcoming, and this was quickly fixed, was player injury data on FootyMetrics. When we initially wrote our review, we noted there was no data on player injuries, and this was quickly fixed by the team at Footy Metrics. This is important because it means:

  • They are active. Updates are delivered and not just promised here
  • FootyMetrics actually engages with your feedback/feature requests

This is not the case with all tools, and it is something that gives us massive confidence and trust in FootyMetrics.

Areas the Service Could Improve

FootyMetrics is very transparent with its data, giving you all the stats to back its confidence ratings and these do not feel distorted or biased in any way. The Props Finder and Fixture Scout are very useful additions, but a tweak we would like to see is a direct Player vs Player comparison. You may be torn between 2 player bets, and while you can check out the form at a basic level through the Tactical Lineup view, it would be good to draw up more thorough summaries.

The natural expansion to the service would be to take all the statistical analysis and line it directly against the bookmaker odds. We have reviewed many odds-first betting tools that calculate EV, juice percentages, and probabilities based on the market prices. FootyMetrics has the probabilities derived from stats, and if it takes this as the Expected Value and compares it against the Implied Probability of the odds, it can draw real life EV %.

But, we wouldn’t want FootyMetrics to introduce more odds-oriented analysis at the expense of the stats-driven service they already do. And, we wouldn’t want them to create a whole new costly API, that would drive up the price.

Is FootyMetrics Legit?

FootyMetrics is a fully legitimate betting tool that is partnered with professional data partners for real-time football statistics. The data is validated and kept up to date by its global team of data providers. The software has good customer support too, and we found that they are highly responsive in solving technical issues. You can reach out by filling in a form or via email, and the team generally responds on the same day.

A transparent software, you can also reach out to request or suggest new features, this is very much an evolving product with a careful eye for detail. At the time of writing, the Scout Fixture, Confidence Score and Tactical Lineup functions are recent additions, and judging on FootyMetrics’ socials and expanded community, it is an active platform.

Who FootyMetrics Is For

We felt that the service is really aimed for fans who want a one-stop research centre to assess their bets. This is not a betting software that calculates betting odds with mysterious algorithms and pushes you in one direction or another. It does give you picks, but you get realistic confidence ratings and a backlog of data to analyze yourself.

It saves loads of time that you would generally spend researching your picks, and you can also use the features to look for trends and potential bets that meet your preferences. For the time saved, quick and relevant fact checking FootyMetrics can do for you, it is very fairly priced.

This is a tool for footie fans and punters who have knowledge of the fixtures, teams and players. You don’t need to be 100% up to date with what’s happened in other leagues or remember what happened 5 matches ago in the Premier League. FootyMetrics brings you all the relevant data required, relevant to virtually every betting market you may be eyeing up.

Our Verdict

FootyMetrics is a well thought out tool that we enjoyed testing. It has a user friendly interface that is easy to master. It is really a tool designed for punters who research their picks, and while it doesn’t go into much detail with betting odds calculating EV or picking out arbitrage bets, you get a full analytical context for your next picks.

It is well priced, covers 115+ footie leagues and covers betting markets with highly relevant data. We would highly recommend FootyMetrics to any punter who needs a one-stop research tool to gain an edge.
