Click on any player and you will draw up their projections. The standard line doesn’t have an icon, but for the seemingly easier picks, there is an Edge Pick blue icon, signalling they fall into lower risk categories. For the higher risk bets, there is a Boosted Picks yellow badge, with level ratings from 1 to 3 to show how risky the wager is. Naturally, just like with sportsbook odds, the riskier a pick, the bigger the payday if it hits.
Betr Picks vs Betr Group Play
The difference between Betr Picks and Betr Group Play really boils down to the payout structure. Betr Picks pays out based on the difficulty of the picks and how many you hit. You place a stake, and, just like a parlay bet, you can win if the selections come through.
In Betr Picks Group Play, your lineups are placed into DFS leaderboard groups with your peers. The entry fees are split into $1 segments, and you can earn payouts if you win the group leaderboard or get a perfect lineup. In Group Play, there is a points system in which your lineups are calculated, and it all depends on the Edge and Boost levels (risk level), as well as criteria like whether it is a regular pick, a free pick, or a special pick. You can also get Edge Combo multipliers based on the types of picks you have.
With Betr Picks, you can assemble the bets and earn payouts of up to 2,000x. You can check the potential returns on the Entry card and adjust your lineup to get your preferred risk to reward ratio.
In Group Play, the potential payouts are based on the number of picks you choose, with the following payout structure:
- 8 pick board = $100
- 7 pick board = $50
- 6 pick board = $30
- 5 pick board = $20
- 4 pick board = $10
- 3 pick board = $5
- 2 pick board = $3
These are the Standard Payouts, but you can either win your share of the leaderboard or these minimum guarantees – whichever is larger. In Groups Play, you are matched with peers who have a similar level of experience to yours. You will get a badge based on your experience level: Rookie, Veteran, or All-Star. This makes it fair for all involved, so you don’t get matched with a player who is under or over your level.
Types of Player Lineup Parlays
When assembling your lineups, on the Entry card, there are two lineup functions to pick from. Dynamic Play is a format in which you don’t need all your selections to come through; if you lose 1 or 2 picks, then you will get a smaller return. However, the top payout in Dynamic Play is significantly less than that of the other format, Perfect Play.
In Perfect Play, you need all your picks to come through, and if any lose, then your entire lineup loses. Take note, though, if there are any voided picks, then your lineup will be adjusted, and the pick will fall out of your Entry. In Group Play, these get no extra points in the leaderboard, and the potential payouts are reorganized to your new lineup (from an 8-pick lineup to 7-pick, for example).
Betr Sportsbook Features

Our Verdict
There is a lot to like about Betr Picks & Sportsbook, and the hype around this fantasy sports platform is well deserved. While the sportsbook is well equipped with wagers and betting opportunities, we feel the app is more suited to people looking for an alternative to the traditional sports betting you would otherwise get at major US sportsbooks.
The DFS Picks games give you a lot of the same freedoms as you would have when placing play prop parlays as conventional books, only with multipliers, generous payout structures, and Dynamic/Perfect Play modes to toggle between. This is micro-betting at its best, giving you full control over your picks and the flexibility to manage as much risk as you dare.
In terms of shortcomings, the biggest thing we noticed was the limited sports betting states. However, with a social sportsbook (and Gold Coins and Betr Cash) provided, and more than enough options on the DFS Betr Picks, the app comes highly recommended.
